Mitigation is applied in a home to ensure lower levels of dangerous radon gas infiltrating a home. We can reduce your levels to below 100 Bq/m3 which is well below the Canadian health standard. The first step is a sub-slab communication test to determine the best location for the system and to efficiently lower the levels. It is important to hire a professional who is insured and who can install your system properly.
We specialize in the encapsulation of exposed soil or rock outcroppings in your basement. We use a fire-rated membrane strong enough to walk on. A four-inch flexible pipe is laid below the membrane to extend the suction field across the footprint of the home. An active Radon fan draws the air from below the membrane and is then exhausted outside.
